Level 4: Proficient

Who should attend?
This class will explore core concepts of unique features of the Eos Family software. For people who are well versed in Eos family console features, this is an opportunity to learn a few more complex concepts and functions. Although there will be prepared materials for these classes, we will answer your questions and focus on the examples and solutions that are of most interest to you.

What will you learn?
After completing this class, you will be able to:

  • Use advanced palette and preset modifiers
  • Create more complex Macros
  • Understand and work with multiple cue lists and
  • multiple cue list playback
  • Feel comfortable with the Cue List index and its
  • properties
  • Understand Priority settings
  • Take advantage of the three states of Capture
  • Learn about Custom Encoder Mapping
  • Be more effective using Fader Configuration
  • Use the virtual faders and playback filters
  • Take advantage of additional Snapshot tools
  • Understand the Color Configuration Tool and use the
  • various color spaces and tools of the Color Picker

Advanced Effects (Half Day)

Go deep into one of the most versatile and powerful effects engines on the market. Building from the ground up, you gain a complete and in-depth understanding of how the Eos effect engine “thinks” so that you can quickly and accurately create desired effects the first time.

Target Audience: You should be very familiar with Eos Family consoles. You must know how to quickly navigate the system, create snapshots, groups, palettes, and cues. You should also be familiar with the basic syntax of building effects at a basic level from the Level 1 and Level 2 classes. We will be building content very quickly. This is not an entry-level training course!

After completing the class, one should be able to:

  • Create any of the five Effect types and be able to modify an Effect’s parameters
  • Apply Effects to channels or groups and record to both subs and cues
  • Build an Effects library or show file for future use
  • Configure Faders to control Effects or the parameters of the Effects
  • Override Effects in cues or presets at the Effect level, cue level or channel level

Busking (Half Day)

You show up 30 minutes before the house opens (60 mins before the band starts). The rig has already been patched and rung out, nothing else is done. How do you get a show up? This class is geared to proficient Eos Family programmers who want to take their programming out of the theater and in to live events.

Target Audience: You should be very familiar with Eos Family consoles. You must know how to quickly navigate the system, create snapshots, groups, palettes, and cues. You should understand Direct Selects and Fader properties. We will be building content very quickly. This is not an entry-level training course!

After completing the class, one should be able to:

  • Quickly analyze the rig and current show file to know what you have to work with
  • Create building blocks including a base look
  • Use Playlists effectively when programming Live
  • Layout the faders for quick access to content
  • Configure the faders with timing and effect attributes

Cancellation by the participant with more than 30 days notice will receive a full refund.
Cancellation by the participant with 15 to 30 days notice will receive a credit note applicable to future section events or a 50% refund.
Cancellation by the participant with less than 15 days notice will be unable to receive a refund.
